The city of Bordeaux is an enclave in the region of Graves Some of the most famous crus are located in the near suburbs of Bordeaux.
The wines of Graves, long regarded as the best and most sought after wines of Bordeaux, have found, rightly, since thirty armies the favor of the public.
The Graves were the subject of a specific classification established in 1953 and 1959 at the request of the union defending the name. Nine crus are classified for their white wines, thirteen for the reds. They can all include the words "vintage classified" on the label.
