4th Classified Growth in 1855 produced in the Margaux appellation, Château Prieuré-Lichine benefits from a vineyard with a total area of 77.5 hectares. The vines, 30 years old on average, are planted on Garonne gravel of the Gunzian type. The aging of the wine is carried out in oak barrels with a proportion of 50% new barrels and 50% barrels of one wine. The 2016 vintage is made from a blend of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot
At the tasting, Château Prieuré-Lichine 2016 combines balance, density and elegance. The acidity, more present than for the 2015 vintage, reveals an extremely harmonious aging potential.
