Harvest: from September 14 to October 4, 2017
Weather conditions :
April: thanks to our terroir, our proximity to the Gironde and our plots located on mounds, the frost episode of April 27-28-29 spared the east of the Saint Estèphe Appellation and therefore our vineyard.
May and June: above-average mildness and rainfall.
July and August: early veraison offers very good conditions for maturity and pyrazine degradation. The absence of vegetal character will allow a beautiful aromatic expression of the grapes.
September and October: cool September with heavy rainfall in the first half of the month. Dry October in the first ten days.
Blend: 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc. Analysis: Degree: 13% vol - pH: 3.74
Tasting comment:
Ruby red color with purplish reflections.
Very intense nose with aromas of very ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberries) and in perfect harmony with discreet toasted and buttery notes. On the palate, the savory texture provides immense pleasure and is reminiscent of perfect maturity in an early vintage.
A "classic" Médoc with racy tannins and a structure revealing elegance on the attack, smoothness in the middle of the mouth and power on the finish.
