For this limited version, the “Le Versant” vintage, IGP Pays d’Oc 2021, features an original label specially designed by French illustrator artist Victoria Roussel. Very inspired by the solar universe of the Foncalieu vineyards, chaired by Jean-Marie Cassignol, this lover of dreamlike landscapes and the abstract gives this unique vintage a remarkable visual identity. Selection of plots presenting the best balance between the soil, the plant and the micro climate, the north slope for this vintage. Controlling yields through optimal management of nutrition and debudding, the 100% Grenache Versant vines are located on sunny hillside areas exposed to the North, near Enserune in Languedoc-Rousslion. The soil is composed of clay-limestone marl which retains humidity and allows good development of the vegetation, accentuating the aromatic freshness. Inside the bottle, a Grenache gently pressed and aged for 3 months in stainless steel vats with stirring on the lees fine. The color is pale pink with light salmon highlights. The nose combines delicious notes of red fruits and aromas of rose. The palate is soft and suave, balanced by refreshing notes of citrus peel. The whole offers a beautiful aromatic persistence with notes of fresh mint and will last perfectly for the next four years.
