Château Escalette Bordeaux - Côtes de Bourg AOP
This 15-hectare Château was one of the first purchases of the Richard family in the 1950s. Now managed by François Clauzel, the grapes are worked and carefully cultivated to obtain a wine in the tradition of Côtes de Bourg, ample and silky.
Winemaking
Classic, with destemming and crushing of the grapes. Pre-fermentative cold maceration. Vatting 3 weeks to 1 month depending on tasting. Aging in vats and clarifying filtration at bottling.
Tasting
A pretty wine with a purple color. We discover the intensity of the nose of very ripe red fruits, with nuances of strawberry and raspberry. Its suppleness, its mid-palate volume combined with a finish with fine tannins give the whole a very indulgent profile.
Grapes: 65% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Malbec
Taste and flavor: Supple and velvety
Alcohol content: 13.5°
Allergen: Sulphites
service tip
This wine should be drunk at 16°C and is the ideal accompaniment to grilled red meats.
