Winemaking
The berries are first separated during destemming, then sorted during vatting. The pre-fermentation maceration is carried out cold. Vatting then lasts 3 weeks to a month depending on the tastings. Aging lasts 12 months in barrels, then fining takes place, and finally filtration before bottling.
Tasting
The nose is characterized by complex grilled and toasted notes, associated with spicier characters. Indeed, we find vanilla and hazelnut, which dominate while allowing the rather powerful ripe fruit to be perceived. The palate is just as expressive with a fleshy attack. There is a nice balance in the mid-palate showing power and character supported by good length.
