Burgunderweine sind die bekannteste und am weitesten verbreitete Spezialität unserer Region.
Das Weinbaugebiet erstreckt sich über 280 km und umfasst drei der vier Départements: Yonne, Côte d’Or und Saône-et-Loire. Beaujolais, der ebenfalls zum Burgunderwein gezählt wird, wird tatsächlich aus Rebsorten des Rhône-Départements hergestellt.
Das Burgund verfügt über rund hundert AOCs (Appellationen d’Origine Contrôlée), darunter mehr als 30 Grands Crus.
Der Wein dieses Weinbaugebiets besteht hauptsächlich aus Weißweinen (61 %). Hinzu kommen Rotweine (31 %) und Crémant (8 %). Die Rosé-Produktion ist gering (weniger als 1 % des gesamten Burgunderweins).
