Τα κρασιά της Βουργουνδίας είναι η πιο γνωστή και πιο διαδεδομένη σπεσιαλιτέ της περιοχής μας.
Ο αμπελώνας εκτείνεται σε μήκος 280 χλμ. και καλύπτει τρία από τα τέσσερα διαμερίσματα: Γιόν, Κοτ ντ'Ορ και Σον ε Λίγηρα. Σημειώστε ότι το Beaujolais, που θεωρείται κρασί Βουργουνδίας, στην πραγματικότητα παρασκευάζεται από ποικιλίες σταφυλιών που βρίσκονται στο διαμέρισμα του Ροδανού.
Ο αμπελώνας της Βουργουνδίας έχει περίπου εκατό AOC, οι «ονομασίες προέλευσης ελεγχόμενης προέλευσης» (επίσημη πιστοποίηση ποιότητας) περιλαμβάνουν περισσότερα από 30 grands crus.
Το κρασί από αυτόν τον αμπελώνα είναι κυρίως λευκό κρασί (61%). Υπάρχει επίσης το ένα τρίτο κόκκινο κρασί (31%) και τέλος crémant (8%). Η παραγωγή ροζέ είναι οριακή (λιγότερο από το 1% όλων των κρασιών της Βουργουνδίας).
