Nuits Saint Georges

We are in Burgundy, the land of great single-varietal wines that reflect their terroir. The white grape variety is therefore chardonnay and the red grape variety, pinot noir.The reds of Nuits-Saint-Georges often evoke rose and liquorice. In their youth, they develop scents of cherry, strawberry, blackcurrant. When ripe, they develop into leather, truffles, fur, game. Notes of macerated fruit (prune) complete the bouquet. Vigorous and full-bodied, they have body and chewiness, on a balanced and robust structure. Long in the mouth, the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation is fully appreciated after a few years of aging: the maturity rounds it out in a sensual and distinguished way.The rare whites of the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation have a deep gold colour. A firm and willingly heady wine, with a brioche bouquet, sometimes honeyed on a background of white flowers.
