勃艮第葡萄酒是本地区最著名、分布最广的特产。

葡萄园绵延280公里，横跨四个省中的三个：约讷省、金丘省和索恩-卢瓦尔省。值得注意的是，博若莱葡萄酒虽然被归类为勃艮第葡萄酒，但实际上是用罗讷河谷省的葡萄品种酿造的。

勃艮第葡萄园拥有约一百个AOC产区，即“法定产区”（Appellations d’origine contrôlée，官方质量认证），其中包括30多个特级葡萄园。

该产区的葡萄酒主要为白葡萄酒（61%），其次是红葡萄酒（31%），最后是起泡酒（8%）。桃红葡萄酒的产量极少（不到勃艮第葡萄酒总产量的1%）。
