The AOC Auxey-Duresses is a Côte de Beaune Villages appellation that has existed since 1937. This vineyard is located south-west of Beaune, between Monthélie and Saint-Romain. Although this AOC suffers a little from its proximity to Pommard, it nonetheless produces excellent wines. Auxey-Duresses has nine climats classified as premier crus such as Les Duresses, shared with AOC Monthéie, which gives very aromatic wines, or La Chapelle, with powerful wines.
